On November 12, on the Durand Reef, containership Kea Trader developed a crack and split in half. Critical break and heavy waves resulted in two units to sink. Now, they are being monitored by two tugs and anti-pollution specialists.

Teekay Tankers Sells Two Aframax Tankers

Teekay Tankers has decided to sell two 1999-built Aframax tankers for USD 12.7 million. One Aframax tanker was already delivered and the other is scheduled to be delivered in the end of November 2017.

133,500-ton Carnival Horizon, completed its final sea trials in the Adriatic Sea and will then re-position to the US. Carnival Horizon is the newest ship in the fleet which will be able to accommodate more than 6,400 people on board.

Big number of officers, technicians and engineers on board thoroughly tested ship's sistems.

Scorpio Buys Four Bulkers

Scorpio Bulkers has entered into two agreements to acquire one Kamsarmax and three Ultramax vessels. As informed, the ships will be bought for USD 90 million, and USD 77.1 million will be paid in cash.
 
All of the Ultramax ships were constructed at Chengxi Shipyard in China.
