The "Edvard Kardelj" factory from Karlovac produced (delivered, op.) the first series of 30 diesel engines.
The engines will be delivered to customers in Serbia and Macedonia. There are another 70 engines in production. The price per engine is 260,000 dinars.

The factory is organized as a complex company "Yugoturbina", a business system as a joint stock company. Work organizations are organized as social enterprises.
Under the drafting agreement, the share capital was divided into 10,000 shares with a nominal value of $ 250.
The factory 'Edvard Kardelj' from Karlovac produces diesel engines of the DTM type of seven horsepower outside its production program ... Agricultural and fishing cooperatives have a 40 percent discount from the sale price.

The development of Yugoturbina in 1973 and further, which we previously wrote about, is essentially related to its strategic orientation towards the world market. This is best illustrated by the fact that the share of exports in total revenue in 1979 was only 5%, in 1980 11%, and in 1985 44%.
In 1985, the ratio of convertible exports to imports was achieved with an index of 225. Thus, convertible exports are almost 2.3 times higher than convertible imports.
Thus, an active exporter was finally realized. In the economic conditions, that was a great achievement and an excellent positioning for new ambitious jobs and development plans.
All other qualitative growth indicators show above-average tendencies in that period. "Yugoturbina" was connected with numerous companies through organization in communities for joint performance on the domestic and foreign markets in complex facilities and towards the state to ensure favorable business conditions and performance of investment equipment manufacturers such as INGRA, JADRANBROD, DUNAVBROD, ZINVOJ, JUMEL...

A new 80 meters long bridge was built on the river Mrežnica ... 40 one-storey buildings with 170 comfortable one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments were built in the workers' settlement.
There are two new hotels in the settlement, each with 70 rooms for singles, and another 10 one-storey houses, a trading house and a restaurant are being built ...
