Kamsarmax Joins DryShips’ Fleet

DryShips has taken delivery of the Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier which was constructed in 2014. Under the deals, the Kamsarmax and two other ships are expected to join their new owner during the second part of 2017. Since the beginning of 2017, the company has taken delivery of five vessels and expects to take delivery of twelve more by the end of the year.
Golden Ocean Group Limited (GOGL) has taken delivery of another tanker bought in March. The Q Ioanari is a ship which will now be renamed Golden Ioanari. The ship was constructed by the Hyundai Mipo shipyard in Korea in 2011. Its market value currently stands at USD 19.47 million.
The COSCO Development has arrived in Savannah port on Thursday after traveling through the expanded Panama Canal from Asia. The vessel is 366 meters long with a beam of 48.2 meters. The COSCO Development is the largest ship to ever visit the coast of the United States. This month, it became the largest ship to transit the Panama Canal Expansion.

Ultramax Delivered to Eagle Bulk

Eagle Bulk has recently purchased Ultramax MV Southport Eagle. The 2013-built vessel was previously named JS Mississippi. Eagle Bulk Shipping reached an agreement to acquire six Crown-63 Ultramaxes, while an additional 3 ships are contingent upon final approval.
